Instead of traditional, regularly scheduled classes we offer classes that benefit your organization as outlined below, or “girls night out” type classes allowing you to pick the date, time, and project you’d like to learn. Check it out and let me know if you have questions.
Pat Deere has owned and operated her stained glass studio for over 35 years. Originally named, Pictures In Glass, the name of the studio has changed along with her focus but her passion working with people has remained constant.
Originally starting with a small 700sf space, Pat taught regularly scheduled classes using the traditional copper foil and lead came techniques. Over the years she has added fused, painted glass, and beginning bead making to her list of offerings with glass fusing being the focus of most of her work.
Because everything she sells includes a fund raising aspect, you can join an existing class that will contribute to their cause or offer a class for a group/organization you belong to. See the details and all options below.
Contact Pat for more information and details about your needs. And, you can read about some of the classes in her blog.
Nonprofit/Organization Classes: One of the best ways to raise money for your nonprofit or organization is to engage those who support you through an art class. Individuals pay for the class and donate one of their pieces to the “class project” or “art quilt” that is fabricated from their efforts. That finished piece can either be hung in your organization, or raffled off to raise funds needed for whatever projects you are supporting.
Over the years we have done many of these and they are always fun for anybody involved. One example of an organized effort is this glass quilt originally made for a local woman’s shelter that was ultimately raffled off with funds going to the men’s shelter. It brought together over 100 people in the community and was a positive event financially and as an educational opportunity for the group.
This is just one idea! We have connections with many artists who work in different mediums you can collaborate with. Collaboration is important when helping the nonprofits we work with. We can do the same for you!
“Night Out” Classes: Whether that means girls night, guys night, business bonding activity, family night, etc. these classes are available based on your needs. You pick the day, the time, and together we’ll find the project that best suits your needs. Maybe it’s created glass hearts for Valentine’s Day, garden stakes for the summer season, or other seasonal projects, you are guaranteed to have fun. You can click the “Enroll Here” button to choose from class for an individual, groups or 4, or groups of 8.
Pop Up Classes: Now and then, I’ll schedule a pop-up class just because. You’ll have to get my emails or follow me on social media to be sure you don’t miss out on these. They are often last minute. Sometimes they are free. Sometimes there is a cost involved. This is for those who are spontaneous and love to do something they haven’t done before. You can click the “Enroll Here” button to see if there is anything currently available in this category.
